The Estate Transfer Bond is a non-surrenderable offshore single premium series of endowment contracts written with maturity dates set by the client. The death benefit of each contract is gifted into a Bare Trust. This is a PET. The Estate Transfer Bond allows a UK client to reduce their potential IHT liability, retain some access to their money for their own purposes.
